Nick Shabason is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience across private equity, corporate finance, and CFO roles.

He began his career at a mid-market private equity and corporate advisory boutique, where he spent six years as a PE associate working across a range of sectors. During this time, he gained deep exposure to structuring, tax planning, and deal execution — developing strong commercial legal instincts and hands-on drafting skills through close collaboration with legal and tax professionals.

Nick is known for his calm, structured approach to complexity — bringing clarity through logic, conditional thinking, and commercial judgement. His ability to distill complex financial and legal issues into clear, actionable frameworks makes him a trusted problem-solver in high-stakes environments.

Having worked on both sides of the fence — as a shareholder representative and as a hands-on operator — Nick brings a rare ability to bridge the priorities of capital partners and management teams. He understands how to align interests, structure around complexity, and deliver execution that supports long-term value creation.

 
Nick has held senior finance roles across multiple sectors, including at a high-growth real estate group where he built forward-looking cash flow models, refined billing processes, supported acquisitions and disposals, consolidated shareholder interests, and optimized debt terms. Earlier, at an industrial technology group, he led contract risk reviews and supported regional expansion initiatives in West Africa.
